Meet the Photographer
Hi! I'm Lauren
I’ve had a camera in my hand for as long as I can remember. In middle school, my friends called me the “paparazzi” because I was always buzzing around with my digital camera capturing the laughs, the awkward phases, the moments no one else thought to notice. Even then, I understood something: the honest, seemingly insignificant moments are the ones we end up treasuring most.
When I'm not behind the camera, I'm mom to two amazing little people, middle school English teacher to some pretty cool big people, and wife to the love of my life, Marty. On a typical day, my kids are usually tearing up the house or yard, Marty is elbow-deep in some kind of farm machinery, and I'm bouncing back and forth between snack prep, grading essays, and editing my latest session. Despite the chaos, I wouldn't have it any other way.
Finding beauty in the small moments of daily life is what grounds me, and it’s exactly what I look for behind the camera. The in-between, the imperfect, the moments that don’t ask for attention but end up meaning the most.
My approach

Photography, for me, has never just been about how something looks. It’s about how it felt to be there, the confidence of your senior year, the way your fiancé looks at you when you’re not paying attention, the energy of a season you’ll never quite live the same way again. Life moves quickly, and I love being the one who helps you hold onto it.
My approach is natural, relaxed, and rooted in connection. I’ll guide you when you need it, step back when the moment unfolds on its own, and capture images that feel like you: not overly posed, not overly polished, just honest, joyful, and true to you, so years from now, you don’t just see them — you feel them.
